Nick Grimshaw is a young man very much in demand. In 2006 Channel 4 spotted Nick and at the age of 22 he was signed up as a presenter for E4 Music and the Channel 4 morning show Freshly Squeezed. Nick quickly proved himself hugely knowledgeable about music and with his easy charm and confidence in front of the camera, soon established himself as one of the UK’s hottest young talents.

Having cut his teeth in national broadcasting at Channel 4, Nick was next signed up by BBC2 where he co-hosted three series of their youth music show Sound, alongside Radio 1’s Annie Mac. Their chemistry proved a winner and Nick joined Annie on Radio 1 hosting the Sunday evening Switch youth strand, the show proving a huge hit with listeners.

2008 saw Nick given his first solo Radio 1 show, when he started presenting the Weekend Breakfast show. Then in 2009, he was offered the prestigious 22.00-00.00 new music slot Mondays to Thursdays, which he hosted for three years. Nick then hosted the breakfast show, weekdays on Radio 1, becoming the second-longest running breakfast show presenter in the station’s history. In 2018 he moved onto Drivetime Monday-Thursday, which he hosted for three years before leaving in 2021.

Nick has also carried on with his burgeoning TV career, fronting Children In Need with Sir Terry Wogan and hosting Never Mind The Buzzcocks , Channel 4's Style The Nation, The Mercury Music Awards, NME Awards coverage and Orange Rockcorps.  In 2015 Nick joined the judging panel on the X-Factor, and has now hosted three series of BBC3’s ‘Sweat the Small Stuff’.
