Sonique is an award-winning British singer, musician, and DJ who first rose to fame as the lead vocalist of electronic dance group S’Express in the late 1980s before achieving global success as a solo artist. Her iconic single It Feels So Good, from the chart-topping album Hear My Cry, earned her both an Ivor Novello Award and the BRIT Award for Best British Female in 2001, cementing her place in music history.
2024 marked a milestone year for Sonique. She sold out London’s Royal Festival Hall with a headline show featuring a full band, strings, and choir; made her debut at Glastonbury’s Silver Hayes stage; and joined Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics arena tour, which culminated in two sold-out nights at London’s O2 Arena. That same year, she released a new version of “It Feels So Good” with Matt Sassari and Hugel, which has already gone Gold in the UK and surpassed 170 million streams on Spotify in just over a year.
Known for her high-energy DJ sets at legendary clubs such as Cream and Manumission, as well as her unforgettable festival appearances around the world, Sonique has built a career spanning decades and continues to be a trailblazer in the global music scene.
