Steve Bracknall is the Assistant Manager of Royal Oak FC, the tactical maverick of the Sheffield Imperial League, and the undisputed voice of grassroots football.

What began in local football became a global phenomenon when Steve’s emotive, high-stakes team talks went viral, amassing hundreds of millions of views and over 1.5 million followers across social media.

His influence now extends far beyond the dugout. Steve has personally launched the Adidas Predator football boot, featured in a worldwide Skechers campaign, and made history by opening the first-ever Sunday League club shop - an event that saw dedicated fans camping overnight outside Sheffield’s Meadowhall shopping centre.

This fan dedication reached new heights when Steve sold out a 2,000-capacity live show at the prestigious Sheffield City Hall in October 2025. A true local hero, it is strongly rumoured that Steve is the face of Arctic Monkeys’ iconic debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not

Steve’s unique brand of wisdom has also earned him a big celebrity fanbase, including Noel Gallagher, Robbie Williams, Phil Foden, and England manager Sarina Wiegman.

Today, Steve brings the world of the Royal Oak to a mainstream audience as the host of Game’s Gone: The Steve Bracknall Podcast on BBC Sounds and YouTube, taking a weekly deep dive into why the modern game has well and truly "gone."

As 2026 unfolds, Steve continues to lead a loyal community of fans who can regularly be seen honouring his "Together as One" philosophy by dressing in his signature cream jacket and jeans.

Whether through a tactical masterclass or his new high-energy DJ sets, Steve Bracknall remains the definitive icon of the Beautiful Game.
